Here is the wonderful blueberry filled cheesecake created by Team Taiwan at the United Tastes of America Chef's Challenge completed recently in Tokyo. This event sponsored by the USDA-FAS Agricultural Trade Offices in the Far East pitted chef teams from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea and of course our favorite: Team Taiwan! Although they did not win the overall competition, they did receive the top ward for their soup and a salute from us for this wonderful blueberry cheesecake!

Here is the team responsible for kick starting the Indian market for frozen US Blueberries.
Middle: Dinesh Shinde of Anusaya Fresh India Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai. Dinesh is a fourth-generation fruit seller and a major player in the Indian fresh and now frozen fruit business. He is flanked by Don Vanderwerken from Mississippi who now works with Dinesh on sourcing and Tim Goggans a third generation blueberry grower from Mississippi and member of the Miss-Lou Cooperative.
This dynamic team worked with the USHBC on an initial sampling shipment to familiarize the Indian food industry. They have followed through to continue providing frozen US blueberries to the Indian market and the future looks bright!
