Institute of Food Technologists

This week we exhibit highbush blueberries at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) national meeting in Chicago.   (July 12-14)   Food Manufacturers from around the world attend and look for new ideas and new ingredients.    Blueberries are a value-added ingredient and our goal is to remind the research and development community that blueberries in all forms are great for new product applications!    We will sample fresh blue and fly the blueberry centennial banner.   Our booth is in the "Natural and Functional" product pavilion which is an oasis in this land of artificial additives and preservatives!

International meetings.   Thanks to Food Export Midwest for organizing a day of one-on-one meetings with overseas visitors from major food processing import companies.    USHBC had excellent meetings with companies from China, Columbia, Guatemala, Jamaica, Korea and other countries.   Some are current users of blueberries who   want to taeberrylk promotions and others are looking for specific blueberry ingredients such as essence, powder or concentrate.
