USHBC Co-Sponsors Chef Competition in Taiwan

 This fall USHBC is cooperating with the USDA-Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Taipei as a co-sponsor of a regional chef competition.   This is the second year of this big event and will draw participating chef teams from throughout the country including family food
service, hotel, restaurants and institutional such as schools.   Our good friend Chef John Hui, Corporate Pastry Chef for the Lodge of Pebble Beach will travel to Taiwan in November to judge the competition and also conduct training and seminars.    USHBC will also sponsor a training visit for the two Taiwanese winners and they will visit and enjoy a training and familiarization experience with US blueberries!   When they get back home we will have two very well placed friends in the industry!
The big event to be held November 16 in Taiwan will include a special tribute to our Millie Hsia who served our industry for the past 15 years as market representative.   Grand prize of the event will be the perpetual Blueberry Millie Award!
